Classes

Attendance at regular weekly classes is the most common way to learn Tai Chi. They are non-competitive, friendly and hopefully fun. All the classes are structured in the same way:- the initial period spent going through a series of warm up and foundation exercises.

The majority of the time will be spent in learning and refining the form. The Tai Chi form is complex and consists of a series of moves laid down in a preset routine usually described as a "set". This learning and refining process will continue as long as we study Tai Chi, for as one Master has remarked "you may spend 18 months learning the set, but the next 18 years learning to do the first move correctly".

Finally, the last few minutes of class time will be spent cooling down, relaxing and appreciating the enhanced flow of chi energy that you have generated while performing the set. Perhaps by performing some Qigong exercises.
